Arminak Apstok

At age of eight was chosen by special Russian comity who came to the Armenian school in 1967 searching for a musical talent. So he became one of the students at the music and ballet school which was opened in 1968 and graduated at 1980.
He studied by the best of the Russian music teachers (former Soviet Union); they thought him music harmony, music history, solvage (music reading) and music appreciation. He participated in all the concerts witch was hold by the school every year.
In 1990 he established an Armenian folk and singing group at the Iraqi AGBU.
In 1991 he also established at the same society an Armenian choir called Sayat Nova and is still exciting in Baghdad.
With the choir Sayat Nova he participated in 1992 at the Babylon festival, witch was the first official musical appearance of the Armenian Iraqi society in Iraq.
He left Iraq and went to Jordan end 1992. He became a flute teacher in the national music conservatory the Noor Al Hussein foundation in Amman. He was also the coordinator of music department, gave music history, music theory lessons & reading solvege. He also had the title of first flutist in the Jordanian National symphony orchestra.
In 1993 he established a chamber music group by the name N.M.C. witch was very known and respected in Jordan as a professional chamber music group.
Since 1993 till 1996 he was also a music teacher at the French school in Amman. He participated in all the musical children festivals of UNICEF where he received many thanks and recommendations from the United Nation.
End 1997 went to the Netherlands with his family. He studied conducting and graduated from Conservatorium ArTez of Zwolle in 2002. After that he became a conductor of two symphony orchestras in Holland till now.
In 2006 he trained a Dutch choir & orchestra to sing and play the Armenian oratorios of Khachador Avedisian at the 94th memorial of the Armenian genocide. He gave many concerts as a flutist in many cities in the Netherland and the Middle-East.
The last few years is busy with teaching flute constructer at different music schools and gives private lessons to advanced flute students.
